Trauma and Attachment Healing Center Planning Course, October Events – The Fort Morgan Times


The Trauma and Attachment Healing Center (CHTA), located at 206 Clayton Street in Brush, has several events planned for the month of October.

Each Monday, CHTA will host a community yoga class at 6:15 p.m. Each class, led by local yoga instructor Jillian Deganheart, will focus on unity of mind and body, as well as grounding, regulation, relaxation and work of breathing. The course costs $ 20 per session, but guests can get a $ 10 discount for each person they sponsor. The last yoga class will be on Monday November 1st.

Each Tuesday, CHTA will host a stretching and Pilates class at 4:15 p.m. This also costs $ 20 per session, but those who wish to pay for all five classes in advance may be eligible for a $ 10 discount. This educational exercise class will be led by instructor Angie Eicher and will help participants improve balance, coordination, flexibility, posture and strength. It will also help with grounding and regulation. The last class will take place on Tuesday, November 2.

The CHTA will be holding an open house from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 15, and residents of northeast Colorado will be invited to visit the CHTA space and see firsthand what the CHTA is doing for. the community. Those with specific questions about the services and resources offered can stop by the open house to chat in person, visit or contact Doreen Hills directly.

No response is needed for the Yoga class or the Stretching and Pilates class, and the Open House is a drop-in event.

Hills, the founder and executive director of CHTA, will also be hosting another educational event – similar to an August 2021 CHTA community training event – with this one titled “The Neurobiology of Betrayal”. The class will explore the questions of “What is betrayal?” “” And “What happens in our neurobiology when we are betrayed?” in addition to covering forms of betrayal and steps to recovery. This class will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 22. The admission fee of $ 30 includes a certificate of attendance. Guests must RSVP by October 11 to reserve a seat, but fees may be paid at the door on the day of the event.

All events will take place in the CHTA building at 206 Clayton Street in Brush. Payments accepted include cash or checks made payable to CHTA, Inc.
