The Gilmer Mirror – TPEG scholarships available to students of certain continuing education programs


The grant to KC is used to apply for funds for students enrolled in the following programs: Pharmacy Technology, Phlebotomy, KCEPT Lineman Program, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Human Resources Specialist, Industrial / Residential Electrical Technology, Patient Care Technology and Nurse Help.

The grant is based solely on students’ eligibility needs and is only available to students enrolled in the programs listed above.

Instead of the FAFSA application, students can complete and submit an online KC Financial Aid application, available on the AccessKC portal (

Once logged in, click on the Application / Forms link on the left side of the screen, then scroll down to the KC Financial Aid Application on the left side of the screen.

To be eligible, students must also submit a high school transcript, complete a verification worksheet with KC, and provide proof of income with income tax returns, SSI, VA non-educational benefits, etc.

Male students must also be enrolled in the selective service.

  • Pharmacy Technology: $ 916
  • Phlebotomy: $ 437
  • KCEPT Lineman Program: $ 1,800
  • CDL Commercial Driver’s License: $ 2,300
  • HR specialist: $ 1,212
  • Industrial / residential electrical technology: $ 1,437
  • Patient Care Technology: $ 402
  • Nurse aide: $ 360
