Panacea announces free webinars on proposed OPPS rule and final IPPS rule for 2022


The live events will take place on two Wednesdays, October 6 and 20.

These two webinars are emblematic of Panacea’s continued efforts to help vendors nationwide better prepare for the upcoming changes to how coding, billing and fee capture will be accomplished in 2022. OPPS webinars and 90-minute IPPS will take place at 10:00 a.m. PST. / 1 p.m. EST Wednesday, October 6, 2021 and Wednesday, October 20, 2021, respectively.

OPPS webinar attendees can expect to learn more about the changes offered by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). As the COVID-19 pandemic spreads, CMS continues to solicit feedback from stakeholders on revised and new guidelines for coding and billing. The proposed CMS rule for the CY2022 Ambulatory Patient Payment System (OPPS) released on August 4 is full of proposed changes. The webinar will cover key changes impacting coding, billing and payment, and provide a summary analysis of CPT / HCPCS code deletions and additions.

FY2022 IPPS webinar attendees will walk away with an understanding of guideline changes, code additions and deletions. There will be discussions of some MS-DRG adjustments and new technology codes and the latest coding updates regarding COVID-19 over the next fiscal year. They will also get an overview of the main final rule changes and how best to prepare for fiscal 2022.

Participants must register separately for each individual webinar and will only be eligible to earn 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) if they attend the event live.
