Crowder College names finalists for president | Local News

NEOSHO, Mo. – After a nationwide search, the Crowder College Board of Trustees has announced four finalists for the position of President.

The finalists, in alphabetical order, are:

• Kim Armstrong, vice chancellor for student affairs, equity and community affairs at Arkansas State University Three Rivers in Malvern, Arkansas. She previously worked as Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs at this institution.

She holds a PhD in Physiology / Neuropsychology and Childhood Cognitive Development, an MA in Physiology / Neuropsychology, and a BA in Psychology, all from Howard University in Washington, DC.

• David Hinds, consultant to the Texas Association of Community Colleges in Austin, Texas. He was previously president of Victoria College in Victoria, Texas.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration from the University of Texas-Austin, an MBA from the University of Houston, and a BA in Business Education from Texas State. University in San Marcos, Texas.

• Katricia Pierson, president of East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Previously, she worked as the rector and vice-president of academic affairs of this institution.

She holds a PhD in English and an MA in English from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville and a BA in English and Journalism from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming.

• Colleen Simpson, vice president of student services and regional learning centers at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Previously, she worked as an administrator for student retention and success at Bronx Community College, CUNY, New York.

She holds a PhD in Educational Leadership, Administration and Policy from Fordham University in New York City, as well as an MA in Higher Education Administration and BA in International Marketing from Bernard M. Baruch College. , CUNY, New York.

The next president will succeed Glenn Coltharp, who has held this position since 2018. He recently announced his retirement.
