AEP donates $ 32,000 to the Wade Center

BLUEFIELD, Va. (WVVA) – In Bluefield, West Virginia, the Wade Center received a donation of $ 32,000 from the American Electric Power Foundation.

Over the years, the AEP Foundation has made donations to educational programs in the local towns they serve.

This donation to the Wade Center was made by representatives of Appalachian Power. Executives at the Wade Center have said donations like these fuel their continued good deeds.

“We can keep the doors open. We keep the doors open, we have our computers here so the kids can keep coming. Children who are quarantined and cannot go to schools, they can come here and do their homework. Continue to be active in the school program. Make sure they take care of everything and that we take care of them, and we take care of them.

– Betty Brainerd, Executive Director, The Wade Center

Last week, the Wade Center received an undisclosed donation from Komatsu, a former manufacturing company in Bluefield, Virginia.

The Wade Center also welcomes donations from the public to help pay for operational costs. If you want to donate, you can go to wadecenter.Com and donate through PayPal.
